Pioneer : Damp surveys and contractors: Swansea

Dean came to our property which had possible damp concerns. He is a delightful, considerate gentleman ( rare these days ) He carried out a thorough survey and concluded that the property did not need an injection course for rising damp even though a previous company had wanted to charge thousands of pounds for treatment that wasn't necessary. It's not often that you get such honesty . Normally contractors will want to carry out expensive work . I'm 70 years of age and have rarely met a more principled, honest tradesman .

If I could give more stars I would. Dean and Gary have been excellent. Their professionalism, reliability and knowledge allowed us to deal with a damp issue requiring their specialist input. They not only showed mastery in their workmanship but they were even able to talk us through the actual ways of rectifying the problem, putting us at ease in what felt like a really stressful situation. I'd highly recommend pioneer and would 100% use their service in the future.

My wife and I would definitely recommend Pioneer Damp Proofing. After identifying dry rot in our property, Dean and Gary carried out extensive work to treat the problem and repair the damage caused by the issue. Both Dean and Gary were extremely helpful and showed great empathy while providing excellent workmanship. Great, honest service from Dean. He advised what issues needed priority and talked through the process for addressing the issues clearly. Quote was provided in good time and a date agreed for the work to be completed (weather permitting). The initial job (wall stitching) was completed within a couple of days, Dean and colleague were friendly, efficient and professional and the finished job was immaculate. We required wall tie replacement too which again, Dean quoted us for . We had two options for this which Dean talked us through in detail. This work was completed again within a few days. Great service, highly recommend.

I asked Dean to complete a report following a surveyors report on a property I am purchasing. Dean went to the Property with details of the surveyors concerns. He noted that the had done a survey himself several years earlier. He found that all the areas brought up by the surveyors report were not of concern. He provided an email to confirm. He refused to charge me for this. It is so refreshing to find there are still kind responsible people out there.

Dean was fantastic. After having a worrying report of suspected damp from a surveyor, I asked Pioneer to come and carry out a damp survey of the property. He was prompt, fitted it around me as I work away and was very thorough. He carried out the survey and assured me that there was nothing to worry about. There was a lot of technical things that he explained about that I didn’t understand, but the outcome was a small bit of cosmetic repair. I could do that myself with the products dean recommended.
