I approached Steve for a homebuyers report which was valued at a fixed price of £350 on his website. He advised he was free the week of 26th. I chased up on 21st to confirm this was still going ahead and was advised that it was now most likely to be the 1st/2nd week of November and asking me to send the details, despite me doing so weeks before. He then quoted £450, with the reasoning "At present I am not accepting any instructions for less than £450.00 as I can more than keep busy with instructions at this level of higher prices". Whilst I understand there is a demand at the moment, this isn't the sort of professional behaviour I would expect from any firm. Clearly taking advantage of the climate to make a profit is more important than retaining quality customer service.

Steve was great throughout the process. He was professional, efficient and helpful - I'm very grateful to have found him and would recommend his services to anyone.

Steve quickly gave me a quote and within a week was at the property carrying out the homebuyers survey. When we needed a further timber and damp survey by request of the bank he was very helpful and able to do this within 24 hrs and was even fighting our corner saying we didn't need one (alas it had no effect to the mortgage provider sadly). Great job, will recommend
