The staff were very polite and accommodating to get everything sorted out. They provided our bank with the valuation the same afternoon it took place.
Impeccable service from first contact with Lyndsey and Roberts visit to carry out my home report. Everything done within 24 hours. I would absolutely recommend Harvey Donaldson and Gibson to anyone. Keep up the good work.
Via Slater Hogg, my daughter,Georgia,received a Home Report from this company. It detailed ‘slight damp’ in the bedroom and hall. The quote to repair(on the report) was £1,000 including VAT. She accepted this. When the builders arrived, they gave her the very distressing information that bedroom, hall and kitchen wall were full of rot,and there was a constant leak in the pipe below. All floorboards had to be replaced,kitchen wall taken down, and a plumber called to replace the pipe. Dreadful,inadequate and unprofessional service,which has turned a happy time for my daughter into an absolute nightmare. Financially and emotionally.
Dont use this company Very Poor Inadequate Home Report on the roof ,cost us £10,500 to replace the Roof on a home we bought! If Harvey Donaldson & Gibson Chartered Surveyors, Had carried out the Survey Properly by Inspecting within the Attic space, on the Roof which does have access via a internal pull-down ladder! Then the SURVEY Would Have CLEARLY SHOWN THE GAPS IN THE ROOF TILES! and the Damp SAGGING INSULATION!, to take this to court would cost us a lengthy battle to regain our £10,500 on top of the cost of the home we Purchased. Cowboy Outfit using Cowboy Tactics, and if Anyone Reads this report DONT USE Harvey Donaldson & Gibson Chartered Surveyors. We have written to they and they REFUSED TO COMPENSATE! Be Warned !!
Speedy efficient friendly service. Company used to survey flat prior to going on the market. No complaints whatsoever. Surveyor Mr Fitzpatrick was professional helpful and polite. Appreciated his advice together with the quickly produced draft report. Completed the same day as visit. Report finalised following day and passed to estate agents. All good 👍. I can only recommend and would use this company again.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Terrible experience with this company. So inefficient, had to keep chasing their surveyor Paul for the report. He even submitted it without checking the ratings - blaming it on the new system. In fact he blamed everyone else but himself for all the delays. Undervalued our property as well.
I bought a home surveyed by HD&G, would never do it again. They failed to point out the outlawed gas valve that is well over 20 years old and no longer legally allowed because of safety issues! It's completely unusable! Thankfully we discovered it BEFORE we had any gas emergency because in such a case, we would be unable to turn off the gas! The valve is inside the property so there's no excuse for why they missed it. Their overall report of the property was far too generous with several things missing or glossed over. Totally unacceptable.
