I would highly recommend Hayden’s. The process of booking the survey was incredibly easy. The survey was arranged quickly, without fuss and the report was issued in an incredibly quick manner without any detriment to the information included. Absolutely top class service!
Phil and his company were professional, accessible and reliable. We had a meeting with him after the survey and he took the time to explain all the findings which provided a different but more objective overview than just reading a report. The service has been excellent and we would be very happy to recommend him to anyone.
I was recommended these by a colleague, however my experience with them wasn't the best. From what I gather, if you are able to get Phil to do the surveying, your experience will be excellent. I however got Ashley. My first issue was that I had no direct communication with him after the survey. I had been lead to believe by my colleague that I would get a phonecall/follow up discussing the house on the same day of the survey, which never happened. Not a huge deal if everything had gone well but would have been nice considering there was 1 red on the report. Secondly, there were a couple of things wrong with the survey (outdated photos from the desktop research for one) and part of the survey was missing when it came through. I had to email and it was actually Phil who replied and told me I'd have it the next morning. It ended up being sent through at almost 5pm and Phil had actually had to take over at that point and send through the completed and amended survey. I also asked if I could have a phone call at that stage as I wanted to discuss some things from the report, to which Phil replied that he had left a message for Ashley to give me a call. No call ever came. TL;DR: If you get Phil 👍 If you get Ashley 👎
Excellent service from start to finish. The surveying team were incredibly professional, responsive, and thorough throughout the entire process. The report was delivered very quickly and was extremely detailed, highlighting important issues clearly and giving us a much better understanding of the property and potential risks involved. What really stood out was the level of care and attention taken to explain findings in a way that was easy to understand, while still being comprehensive and technically detailed. The survey ultimately gave us the confidence and evidence needed to make informed decisions during the purchase process, and it genuinely proved invaluable. I shopped around for a competitive quote for a full (level 3) survey for a 100 year old property that I am buying. Phil was very competitive on price. I did wonder if I'd regret going for one of the cheaper quotes but absolutely not. I've received a very thorough report on a timely basis with excellent photos (drone footage is excellent way of looking at the roof) and Phil made himself available to talk me through the report and to provide me with guidance (we spent an hour going through the report and he didn't rush at all). Overall, I am delighted with the service provided and would have no hesitation in recommending him.
