We opted for a level 3 survey on the advice of Lockwood Chartered Surveyors, as we were buying an older property. We were really impressed with their friendly, efficient service from our first interaction with Sandrine.Andrew Lockwood spoke to us just before the survey and after inspection. He talked us through key findings and explained any issues and made us aware of key areas needing addressing and suggested further investigations in order to obtain costings for remedial works. We were able to speak to him about aspects we needed further clarification on and he helped us contextualise the risks and suggested possible solutions. The report itself was very thorough. We would highly recommend Lockwood’s for their expertise, thoroughness and approachability at what can be a stressful time.

Andrew at Lockwood was superb from start to finish. Firstly I got quoted absolutely mega bucks by a national surveyor company to perform a grade 3 survey who were based in Manchester so I rang Winkworth who I was purchasing a property from and they recommended Lockwood and also Gilson Bailey confirmed to me they were highly regarded as one of the best in and around Norwich. Within 5mins of ringing they sent me a quote which was over half the price I’d originally be quoted so obviously I took the plunge. The survey was very in depth and super informative. Andrew sent a drone above the house to notice the roof basically needed a complete renovation removing all old tiles and replacing for new, fix chimneys, felt & lead flashing etc which I knew was going to cost thousands. I got prices in from local roofing companies which were around the £20k mark. I then managed to renegotiate my purchase price with the seller and they agreed to take the full amount off. So Lockwood basically saved me £20k!!!
