What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Skilled and unflustered handling of party wall matters is the theme that runs through the feedback for this practice. Several customers describe Guy as approachable, professional and able to explain technical points in plain terms, keeping them informed from first instruction to the final award. Reviewers often mention that notices, schedules of condition and the supporting paperwork were produced without delay, including one account of a schedule being carried out at a neighbour's property within a day of contact.

Work types covered in the accounts include home extensions, dormer conversions and a dissenting neighbour who appointed a separate surveyor, with the practice's costs described as reasonable and, in one case, noticeably lower than the other side's. Ease of dealing with the firm comes up often, whether the instruction arrived early or near the end of the process and whether the job involved a consensual agreement or an award. Being reachable when questions arose, and taking the stress out of a process that neighbours had made difficult, are mentioned alongside efficient turnaround. Repeat instructions on several projects point to reliability, and the closing note is the calm management of a disputed dormer award.

We contacted Guy late in the process and needed to get our Party wall concluded quickly as planning permission was due to run out. Guy pulled out all the stops to get it over the line for us. He was really professional and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We have just used Manchester Party Wall Surveyors in relation to a dormer conversion. One of our neighbours chose to dissent our request and appointed their own surveyor. MPWS were professional, informative and always reachable throughout the process and their costs were approximately 25% lower than the surveyor our neighbour appointed. Thank you so much MPWS for helping us navigate the award process in such a great way.

Really happy with the service from Manchester Party Wall Surveyors. We had some work going on in Whalley Range, and they handled all the party wall stuff smoothly. Our neighbour ended up appointing them too, which made the whole process really straightforward. No stress, clear communication, and everything sorted quickly.
