NI Surveys is used for Level 2 and Level 3 homebuyer surveys, with Ronan Gillespie named in nearly every review as the surveyor clients dealt with directly. Reports are repeatedly described as detailed and easy to follow, typically delivered within about a week, with Ronan available by phone to talk through findings and, in at least one case, helping a client renegotiate the sale price based on issues identified. One reviewer, however, reported that several defects, including leaking radiators and rotten fencing, were missed and only became apparent after moving in, an account that contrasts with the otherwise consistently positive reviews. As a surveyor in Belfast, NI Surveys holds a 4.9-star average from 64 Google reviews.

I would highly recommend the service provided by Ronan Gillespie and NI Surveys. I asked them to complete a homebuyers survey and they delivered an extremely detailed report illustrated with pictures of the property and all the issues that may need attention immediately and in the short and long term with useful advice on how to deal with these. They completed the survey and delivered the report as promised within agreed timeframes and at a competitive price. Great service, would recommend to anyone buying a new home.
We’ve had 2 Level 3 surveys carried out with NI Surveys. Both were really informative, delivered quickly and the communication from Ronan has been excellent throughout. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately cannot recommend Ronan at NI Surveys. We had a house surveyed at a Level 3 survey and proceeded with the purchase but following moving in it became quickly apparent that's lots of issues were missed. - 4 radiators are activatly leaking, one of which is completely rotten - All the fencing around the property is rotten and moves about, some of it fell down a week after we moved in - The shower has been leaking through the ceiling into the basement, and the floor is rotten and full of mould which is easily accessible - The UPVC doors struggle to close and are all catching in the frames - The bath taps are seized and do not turn - The kitchen tap has been leaking for a long time and has rotted the cupboard shelving - The hot water pressure is really low, where it takes an absolute age to fill a bucket of water I don't like having to leave such negative reviews, but absolutely none of this was noted on the survey and at a Level 3, these things should have been picked up. We've been undecided about leaving a review for a few months after moving in, but unfortunately we feel the need to be honest, and wouldn't have bid the price we did knowing the issues throughout the house, and the fencing will be a small fortune to make right.
Ronan recently did a level 2 homebuyer survey for me as a first time buyer. His report was very thorough and gave me a lot of clarity on the apartment’s condition and peace of mind on my first home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a surveyor and will be using again if needed!
Ronan was absolutely fantastic with providing a Level 3 survey for our first home. The report was comprehensive and he was always happy to take a call for us to ask him any questions. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a surveyor and will be using him when we move house next!
Excellent service from start to finish. Ronan quickly arranged a date for the survey after our initial phonecall. The communication throughout was great, and the report was delivered on time. The survey itself was very thorough, providing a highly detailed Level 3 report that gave us total clarity on the property's condition. Highly recommended for anyone needing a professional and reliable surveyor in Belfast.
