I opted for a level 3 survey to highlight any issues with the property, believing I was in good hands. Sadly after purchasing the property it became quickly evident that not only was the £750 in survey fees a waste, but the surveyor failed to highlight £1,300 in roofing work that needed completing urgently and failed to identify extensive decay to timbers on the conservatory with a repair cost of almost £7,500. The timber rot was largely, though poorly, hidden by paint but soft timbers were evident to the touch and visible misshapen wood due to rot was visible. Cosey Homes have refused to accept any liability and I recommend anyone to avoid them.
Survey arranged within 2 weeks, did have to chase them for the report as it went over the 5 working days advertised to 9 but i got it same day i emailed. Report was pretty thorough and what we expected. Would use again.
A very detailed report that even mentioned a wobbly floorboard. Over 70 pages to read which was hard going though this really put my mind at rest when buying my house.
I used Cosey Homes Chartered Surveyors for level 2 home buyers survey/report. The surveyor was quite experienced and made very helpful recommendations. All in all, the service was quick, informative and the report is indeed a useful guide.
Would highly recommend this company. My surveyor Peter Jones compiled his report that was easy to understand and without technical jargon. It was clear and concise with photographic details. All the staff were extremely helpful. Arranging the surveyor visit to the property was all done via Cosey Homes making the whole process stress free!
Of all the companies we emailed Cosey Homes were the only ones to respond. Booked online they liased with the seller to arrange the best date. Peter our Surveyor called on completion of the survey and gave us a heads up what we could expect in the report. The report was excellent very clear and filled with information. Fantastic service very pleased.
