We had a L2 survey from Charter-Reid in March 2025 and were incredibly impressed with the level of detail that was in the report. It gave us peace of mind during the stressful house buying process, and we’d recommend Charters-Reid to others.

Had a level 2 survey done for house we were buying. Report missed completely failed conservatory seal visible from ground level, we noticed it as soon as we moved. We thought it might have happened in the time between the survey and completion but looking at the photos in the survey it can be seen. Overall the survey felt very cookie cutter, highlighting very non-serious that almost all building have, while missing more serious issues that this house had.

Fantastic service from all the team at Charters-Reid, Jon is hugely knowledgeable, and everyone is so helpful and professional from start to finish. If you are seeking to use a surveyor in Yorkshire, then there are no better than the Charters-Reid team and I would highly recommend them.

I had a very, very good experience when we used Charters-Reid Surveyors. We initially bought a property and found a crack in the brickwork during the purpose. We needed a peace-of-mind survey and that is what they did for us, explaining what the crack was along with a full home movers report on the rest of the property. We then required a diagnostic repair report for a builder to follow to carry out the recticification and again this was provided along with builders numbers to ring and obtain quotes from, so helpful! Would highly recommend, very professional and thorough and willing to answer any questions you may have. Definitely use them again! Seb Swain.

Charters-Reid Surveyors are the most professional and efficient surveyors I have come across. They completely understand the pressures of buying a home and the need for a thorough and efficient survey to give you reassurance when buying a house. I cannot thank the team enough for their help!
