“Essentially, two things: 1) They have a system where you arrange a mutually convenient date for the survey. They are unable to give you a window of time until 5pm the day before the survey date (which pretty much means that you need to take the whole day off in annual leave) 2) In my case, I contacted them at 5pm the day before to be told that their surveyor had called in sick. This was especially inconvenient to me as I had specially taken the day off and was travelling overseas later on in the week. The system needs improvement and should be fairer to customers. To date, haven’t received an offer of an alternative time that works mutually.
The person they sent round (who admittedly was an independent subcontractor apparently) did some basic measurements using his laser device but didn’t seem to know what he was doing and was moaning about the next client he was meant to be visiting. I gave him a drink and allowed him to use the toilet and he repaid me by ignoring completely all the improvements we have made to the property and simply added a couple of grand on top of our purchase price from 18 months ago. Complete waste of my time, thanks for that.
Absolutely unprofessional attitude! Please avoid this company at all cost! I was disappointed with the property inspection arranged via this company. The surveyor did not engage in any meaningful communication about the property’s details or condition, and I had concerns about the thoroughness of the assessment. For something as critical as a mortgage valuation, I expected more diligence and clarity. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the survey and its impact on my mortgage application. I believe it is essential for your company to ensure surveyors are fit for duty and able to conduct thorough, accurate assessments. I hope they improve their process for future clients. Waste of time. Survey carried out by Tony Carey
My experience with Pinnacle Surveyors was quite disappointing. They were appointed by the lender, so I never spoke with them directly, but the process felt disorganized from the start. They mentioned doing a desk assessment, scheduled a viewing, then cancelled it without a proper explanation. In the end, the valuation they produced felt shallow and unprofessional — they marked the property as not feasible mainly because there’s a small car-recovery business nearby, without offering any real analysis or context. The report didn’t reflect the actual situation and came across as rushed. Overall, the service lacked thoroughness and reliability.
Would highly recommend. Having been let down on a matter with my existing solicitor, Pinnacle were able to step in and quickly resolve my issues extremely quickly.
The lady I spoke to on the phone was super friendly and helpful. The level 2 home buyers report I received was very detailed but easy to understand and we were able to use the information to negotiate a small reduction in the purchase price. I'd definitely recommend.
The gentleman (Ian) who visited us to do the survey was very professional. It was a very pleasant experience. Pinnacle is lucky to have people like him which I am sure play a big role in maintaining Pinnacle’s reputation
