Stone Survey ltd

Stone Survey Ltd is a land surveying practice based in London, regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The business is small and privately owned by Steven Stone, who runs and manages it daily. Steven Stone is an AssocRICS and a RICS Registered Valuer, and he carries out many of the inspections personally. Stone Survey Ltd specialises in property valuations, Schedule of Condition, RICS HomeBuyers Reports, and Full Building Surveys.

It surveys Central London and period property, historical buildings, country houses, new build property, loft extensions, conversions, and English Heritage listed property. The company is completely independent and not affiliated or tied to any estate agent, mortgage broker, or solicitor. It has no external shareholders and abides 100% by industry codes of practice.

Homebuyers and repeat clients describe Steve of Stone Survey ltd as knowledgeable and easy to communicate with from the outset. His Level 2 and Level 3 surveys are repeatedly praised for being detailed, thorough and clearly written, with several reviewers noting that the findings were explained in plain terms during follow-up phone calls. A theme running through the feedback is the speed of the service: reports arrive quickly even when instructions are given at short notice, and customers value the ongoing support after the survey is complete.

Drone roof footage and supporting photographs are mentioned as useful additions to written commentary, while the practical, solution-focused approach is said to help buyers avoid costly mistakes and to inform queries raised by solicitors. Reviewers who have returned for second and third properties highlight the consistency of the work and the willingness to talk through concerns. The professionalism, empathy and clear dialogue throughout the process are recurring themes, with many stating they would use the service again for property purchases.
