Very poor experience with BVS acting on behalf of Admiral Insurance. The assessor, Michael McCarren, arrived and immediately said he wasn’t sure why he’d been sent, which didn’t inspire confidence from the outset. The main purpose of the visit was to assess accidental damage and, importantly, to identify the entry point of the rats causing the issue. I explained the rat-related damage in my kitchen and repeatedly asked him to remove the skirting board so the area could be properly inspected. Although he eventually did this, he made no effort to properly investigate or identify the actual entry point—despite this being a key reason for the visit. Instead, he took a quick 3D image, returned to his car, and shortly afterwards concluded “no claim” without carrying out what felt like a thorough or meaningful assessment. He also focused on a gap between the floor and wall that was unrelated to the issue. Despite my explanation, he dismissed my concerns, stating that “as a builder, he knows better,” rather than listening to the situation being explained. To make matters worse, he had the wrong date for when I first contacted the insurance company and brushed it off by suggesting they must have it wrong as well, which further reduced my confidence in the process. His attitude throughout felt rude and dismissive, and there seemed to be little interest in properly investigating the root cause of the problem. Overall, the process felt rushed and predetermined rather than a fair and objective assessment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend BVS, and it has negatively affected my confidence in Admiral Insurance.

The gentleman who came was very pleasant and kind which made the whole process of the inspection easy to understand. I was left feeling very satisfied with the whole process - which I had been worried about.

The service was prompt, professional and friendly. The assessor arrived within 24 hours of the incident and quickly and efficiently assessed the damage to our wall, authorised contact with the stonemaso n for a quote. The quote was quickly agreed after additional information was provided and the claim authorised for payment by NFU. A wonderful experience after a traumatic event.

I was very happy with the way the process went as it was my first time making an insurance claim. I had no issues liaising with the team at BVS. My claim was settled very shortly and I received settlement quickly. I couldn’t have asked for more.

I was called on the Tuesday and I had an appointment booked for that Friday. The officer was very friendly and helpful through it all and explained it all very clearly. BVS/Davies was a very positive experience the negative is the actual insurance companies, no communications, response's take forever, no direct numbers to call you just have to wait on an email. Very stressful for small businesses trying to stay a float during these times.

A truly outstanding service, we needed a complete bathroom refit after a water leak. We were moved to alternate accommodation during the work and the quality of the tradesman that removed the damaged bathroom ,repaired the concrete floor and replaced the bathroom was truly first rate. Hopefully we will not have anymore water leaks and need there services again but could not recommend them more highly.

I can't speak highly enough of the surveyor. After an appalling experience with another company that my insurer sent out that lead to me appealing the rejection of the claim. This company made the appoint in time for me to sort out someone being in my house for it, turned up on time and were profession through the whole visit. I could log into their portal to see the claim and its progress. All sorted in 10 days after fighting with the insurance and the other company for months.
