I engaged Abode to carry out a building survey for a house purchase after reading the excellent reviews on Google, and the service has been absolutely first class from start to finish. Jo responded to my initial enquiry immediately with clear, comprehensive information and pricing, and the survey was booked in quickly. The survey itself was incredibly thorough, with Alan contacting me the day after to talk me through the findings and then the full written report following within a few days. Alan and Jo's knowledge, advice and recommendations throughout the survey process and beyond has been hugely appreciated and I can't recommend Abode highly enough.

I recently instructed Abode for a building survey on a property I was interested in, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service provided by Alan. The report was incredibly thorough, spanning 47+ pages and covering every aspect of the ~150-year-old building.What I appreciated most was the clarity of the 'Surveyor's Overall Assessment,' which gave me a clear overview of the most significant issues before diving into the technical details. Alan identified several critical areas that I would have otherwise missed, including:Structural concerns, Dampness issues, Roof and garage defects. Plus recommendations for further specialist investigations (damp, timber, and structural).
